Description
Tug is a two-player game. Thick braided cotton gives your dog a solid grip, and the knots give you yours.
It's made for games with you on the other end, not for chewing alone. Check it after big sessions and retire it once the rope starts to fray.
Materials and size
- The rope is braided cotton.
- The blue loop is about 52 cm long, the four-knot rope about 55 cm and the long rope about 77 cm.
- The ends are knotted and tasselled.
Care
- Rinse it in warm water and let it dry completely.
- Check the knots and the braid after every big game.
- Retire it once the rope frays or a knot works loose.

Questions about the Rope Tug
Still have a question? Ask our helper in the corner of the screen, or browse the help centre.
Is tug good for my dog?
Tug is a structured game that lets your dog use their strength with you in charge of when it starts and stops. Keep sessions short and stop if your dog gets over-excited.
Which style should I choose?
The blue loop gives you a handle to hold, so it's the easiest to play with. The four-knot rope suits medium dogs, and the long rope keeps big dogs' teeth further from your hands.
Can I leave it out for my dog to chew?
We don't recommend it. It's made for supervised tug, and chewing on their own wears the rope much faster.
